Tawfik is a Member of the Economic Advisory Board of the Prime Minister of Egypt. He also serves as Deputy Chairman of The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES), and First Vice President of The Federation of Mediterranean Business Organization (BUSINESSMED). Tawfik is also a board member of several organizations, including the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones (GAFI), The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), Egyptian Countryside Development Company, Egyptian Food Safety Authority, Chamber of Food Industries, Eport development fund, Agricultural Bank of Egypt, the Ministry of Foreign Trade & Industry’s Industrial Modernization Center, Egyptian Poultry Federation.
Tawfik holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cairo University, a master’s of engineering from California Polytechnic State University (Pomona), and an MBA degree from San Francisco State University.
Mohanna is Chairman of Prometeon Tyre Egypt Co., the largest tyre producer in Egypt, and a
subsidiary of the multinational tyre manufacturer Pirelli. He is also Chairman of Chubb Insurance Egypt, and Chairman of Chubb Life Insurance Co. Egypt. Both companies are subsidiaries of the US multinational insurance group Chubb. Mohanna is also member of the Board of Directors of CI Capital, one of the top investment banking firms in Egypt and the region and of Corplease Egypt, the leading leasing company in Egypt, a board member of B Investments, a private equity holding company and of Palm Hills Developments, a leading real estate development company.
Omar Mohanna is former Chairman of Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC), one of the
largest cement producers in Egypt and a subsidiary of the German Multinational Group
Heidelberg Cement AG, a world leading cement producer.
Mohanna’s over 25 years of commercial and investment banking experience with Egyptian and
international financial institutions has culminated in the position of Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Egypt Arab African Bank (EAAB). He also held the position of Managing Director of Accor Hotels Group in Egypt and has been a member of the Board of Directors of diverse companies.
Mohanna is active in a number of organizations serving the interests of the business community in Egypt. He is the Past President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) and is Chairman of the Egypt-US Business Council. He is also a member of the Italian Egyptian Business Council, the Egyptian German Business Council, the Egyptian Pakistani Business Council, the Egyptian Nigerian Business Council, the Egyptian Algerian Business Council, the Egypt-Poland Business Council, the French Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the Egyptian Businessmen Association and Egypt's International Economic Forum. At the broader community level, he is a Board member of the Association for the Protection of the Environment, and member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Relations.
As an economist, industrialist and active member of the business community, Mohanna has
brought his knowledge and expertise to bear at the policy level in his capacity as Chairman of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES).

Since joining SAP in 2013 until May 2023, Ms. Mansour played a pivotal role in supporting the
company’s growth strategy to transform the United Arab Emirates market. During her role as chief
operating officer in 2017, the UAE and Oman won the Market Unit of the Year award across the entire
EMEA South region for the first time ever and Ms. Mansour was recognized as the Top COO for EMEA
South. She acted as the local executive sponsor for several strategic digital transformation engagements
including Expo2020 Dubai.
Ms. Mansour was a part of the Global Executive Leadership Team at SAP and regularly speaks at global

Anis Aclimandos is president of Transcentury Associates (TCA), which manages development projects worldwide. He is also president of Woodies, a subsidiary of TCA, the import agent for Eastman-Kodak.
Aclimandos has handled large merger and acquisition projects in the Middle East, attracting FDI to the region from many countries. Aclimandos joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt in 1983. He was elected to the board of governors in 1987 and re-elected in 1988 and 2007. He has served as chair of AmCham's Customs, Investment & Trade and International Donor Programs committees, and as vice president, membership from 2001 to 2005. Aclimandos was elected President of AmCham Egypt in 2013 and served for two consecutive terms till 2017.
A certified accountant, Aclimandos earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Cairo University and holds Egyptian and U.S. certification in financial management and analysis.
Abdullah Assal is the Vice President of Globaltronics Industrial Group. Globaltronics is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of Electricity, Water and Gas Smart grid solutions in the Middle East and North Africa region. Globaltronics has been playing a pivotal role in transforming Egypt’s electricity distribution network, impacting more than 30 million households. This deep impact on Egypt’s economy led the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to become a shareholder in Globaltronics and to invest in its regional growth.
Besides his role at Globaltronics, Abdullah is the CEO of SAHL Pay, a utility payment solution serving the Egyptian market. Mr. Assal is a serial technology entrepreneur and investor, whereby he founded, managed, and invested in several tech companies in the fields of payments, e-commerce, and telecommunication technologies. Abdullah actively participated in drafting Egypt’s Vision 2030 led by the Egyptian Government. Earlier in his career, Abdullah worked for Alcatel-Lucent Middle East and North Africa.

Abir Leheta was elected as Chairman and CEO of Egytrans, the leading national transport and logistics provider, in 2015, thereby becoming the first woman to occupy this position in the history of the company. Andrew is a business leader, strategist, and legal counsel with more than thirty years of experience, and more than fifteen years of experience working with business and legal issues related to Egypt and the upstream petroleum sector. Andrew joined Apache Corporation as Assistant General Counsel and the Apache Egypt leadership team in December of 2020 and resides in Cairo on international assignment.
Previously, he served as the SVP and General Counsel for the IPR Energy Group, and practiced law in Washington DC advising on corporate matters, financings, and commercial transactions and navigated disputes in courts and international tribunals. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and his Juris Doctorate with honors from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia.
Dalia Wahba is an entrepreneur and co-¬founder of CID Consulting, a management and development consulting firm in Egypt with work across the MENA region, North America and Europe. Dina Sherif is a renowned expert in the fields of economic development, risk capital (from philanthropy to venture capital) in addition to entrepreneurship and innovation. Dina Sherif is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management where she also acts as Executive Director of the MIT Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship. She is also a Founding Partner of Cairo based Ahead of the Curve, which is the Arab region’s leading firm on issues related to sustainable business growth and impact driven entrepreneurship. Dina is also a Partner in Disruptech, Egypt’s first Fintech focused venture capital fund as a Partner, pursuing her passion in building a fund that will support technology being used as a critical tool in creating financial inclusion for a largely unbanked population, most specifically women.
Dina previously held the endowed Willard Brown Chair for International Business at the American University in Cairo (AUC), where she was also the Founding Director of their Center for Entrepreneurship. Prior to the above, Dina helped establish the John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at AUC.
Dina has been lead author of several publications including the book From Charity to Social Change: Trends in Arab Philanthropy and key reports such as the 2015 UNDP Business Solutions Report and the first of its kind 7 country study on trends in responsible business practice in the Arab region, in addition to other key policy pieces and blogs on the importance of entrepreneurship and impact investing to building more sustainable and inclusive societies.
In acknowledgement of her dedication to creating a new way of doing business, Dina was given the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Egypt by the American Chamber of Commerce in 2016; was recognized by the Embassy of India as a “Woman of Substance” in 2016; was chosen as one of 10 United Nations Global Compact Sustainable Development Goal Pioneers in 2016; and was named as one of the top 50 most influential women by the Amwal Al Ghad Magazine. During her time at the Harvard Kennedy School, Dina was also a recipient of the prestigious Lucius Littauer Fellows Award in recognition of academic excellence and service. Dina is also an Eisenhower Fellow and was also a fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School as well as a Research Fellow at the New America Foundation.

Dr. Ghada recently joined Bank of New York Mellon as Chief Director – Egypt after a long track record of Seventeen Years at The Central Bank of Egypt as Assistant Sub-Governor.
Her extensive experience in banking and finance qualified her to join the Central Bank of Egypt in 2005 as an influential and effective addition. She supervised the department of external debt risk. In 2008, she joined the banking reform sector to oversee the international institutions' portfolio, and then moved in 2013, to the international markets and portfolio management department.
In May 2015, she had successfully set up a new department to carry out a follow-up, risk monitoring and supervisory role over the portfolios of banks’ clients with major exposures.
In 2017, she was entrusted to establish the corporate communications department to manage the overall communication strategy and facilitate transparency and disclosure based on international standards. In 2020, she was appointed in the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Capital for microfinance "Tamkeen", which she recently resigned from and joined Kayan Group Advisory Board in Feb 2023.
During her successful career path, Dr. Ghada was awarded a number of certificates of merit and appreciation, and she was honoured for her role in developing the investment environment in Egypt by the Ministry of Investment, the IMF, the World Bank and local authorities, as well as other international institutions. She also received many awards in acknowledgment of her efforts as one of the most influential iconic women in society.
In addition to her extensive banking and finance experience, Dr. Ghada enjoys distinguished scientific qualifications and lectures on Finance, Economics and Management. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics, a Masters Degree of Business Administration and Finance, and PhD in the Economics of Energy Subsidy Deregulation, in addition to a number of specialized training courses at Nasser Academy in the fields of National Security, Crisis Management and Decision Making.

J. Michael Lacey is managing partner of the Cairo office of international law firm Dentons. He has worked for Dentons in Cairo since 2002 and is experienced in international construction projects, with a focus on privatizations. Previously, he worked on major build-operate-transfer projects, and his experience includes road, port, hospital, airport, power, bridge and airport privatizations. He also works with aviation, corporate, energy and environmental projects, including several major dispute adjudications for multinational clients in the areas of construction insurance, finance, warranties and procurement fraud. He also worked for Skanska USA and Skanska Infrastructure Development in New York and Stockholm. Lacey served as co-chair of the Legal Affairs Committee at AmCham Egypt.
Lacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and international relations from the University of San Diego, a J.D. from Saint Louis University and a master’s degree in European law from Stockholm University.
Mohamed Abdalla pioneered institutionalizing the real estate brokerage sector in the country by establishing Egypt’s first premier real estate full service provider Coldwell Banker in 2001. This took place after an exceptional success in establishing and managing Egypt’s leading securities brokerage firm in the 1990s, InterCapital Securities, that is now a part of the largest investment bank in the region-EFG- Hermes. With over 26 years of experience in the equities and real estate sectors, Abdalla is currently the Chairman of Coldwell Banker Egypt, and Coldwell Banker Intercontinental Affiliates that has the franchise of Coldwell Banker in countries in the Middle East, and North Africa. Coldwell Banker Egypt has 15 franchises and offices and employs over 600 real estate agents. The company earned several awards in international real estate conferences held in the USA over the last years as the number one international master franchise.
In 2010, Abdalla co-founded Acumen Holding. The holding company owns Acumen Securities Brokerage , and Acumen Asset Management . The firm is managing Egypt’s top performing Bank Audi’s Islamic fund “Izdehar”, the first fund to be launched in Egypt after the revolution; along with portfolios of private institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.
Abdalla is an active member of AmCham Egypt. He co-founded and chaired the Realestate Committee since its inception in 2003, and has attended the AmCham Egypt Doorknock Missions to Washington D.C for the past 20 years.
Abdalla served as Board Member in Raya Holding from 2013 until 2015; and as Board Member in the Egyptian Railways Projects and Transport Company from 2005 until February 2010. In 2019 Abdalla joined Silicon Waha for technology parks as a board member.
Mohamed El-Kalla is the Chief Executive Officer of CIRA Education (CIRA), An EGX30 Company and winner of Africa's top IPO in 2018. CIRA was founded 1993 and currently CIRA is Egypt’s largest investor in the private education sector. It holds more than 20 affiliate companies and educational brands. CIRA has invested in 28 campuses, serving more than 48,000 students around Egypt. In addition to the educational investments, CIRA is anchoring one of Egypt’s largest healthcare projects, currently under development, Capital Medical City (CAPMED).
El-Kalla also serves in his personal capacity as an independent board member at the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund (SJIF) for Health and Education set up to launch the region’s largest education medical project through the opening of the UCLA and UCL medical colleges and affiliated hospitals in Amman, Jordan.
Prior to joining CIRA, El-Kalla had a long career at the United Nations in UNHCR, UNV, UNRC and UNDP where he had a career in support of refugees, large volunteering projects as well as supporting the foundation of the Global Compact Network in Egypt, and other countries across the MENA region. In addition, El-Kalla founded Ahead of the Curve (ATC) consultancy, a leading regional sustainability management think tank focused on inclusive economies that works on supporting the realization of a MENA-based model for sustainability.
Omar Elsahy is the General Manager of Amazon.eg, recently relaunched from Souq.com, in Egypt. Omar initially joined Souq.com in late 2012, bringing with him nearly a decade of management, outsourcing and e-commerce business development experience. In his role, Omar led the launch of Amazon.eg, as he continues to spearhead the business in Egypt, guided by four principles: obsession around customers (buyers and sellers) instead of driving focus around competition, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and creating long term value creation vs. short-term gain.

Omar currently serves as the co-chair of the Industry and Trade Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce to facilitate the advancement of industrial development tackling challenges facing the business community and working to enhance the climate for economic progress and investment. Omar is also on the Dean’s Strategic Advisory Board of the American University in Cairo’s School of Business to uphold the School’s academic excellence, quality, and prestige. Omar also served as a business development services consultant with Silatech, an NGO that provides financing and business development support to regional SMEs in order to create sustainable employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young Arabs. He is also an Endeavor Egypt mentor.
Omar has a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Osama Soliman is the Managing Director of SOYVEN – A Cargill - ADM Joint Venture, that was established in 2018. Soyven is one of the leading companies in Soybean Crushing in Egypt with two million tons of Soybeans crush capacity per year. The company operates one of the biggest crush plants in Egypt – National Vegetable Oils Co – in Borg El Arab Industrial Zone in Alexandria. Soyven produces Soybean Meal and Oil, that help secure Egypt’s needs for animal feed and edible oils. Soliman managed to grow the Egyptian crush industry and managed with other crushers in Egypt to convince Egyptian government to change the import regulations for grains and oilseeds to remove a lot of import barriers.
Soliman is also the co-chair of the Agriculture and Food Security Committee of AmCham Egypt. He is also a non-executive board member of one of the leading precious metals startup platforms in Egypt.
Soliman started his career as sugar trader in Cargill Egypt in 1999, he assumed several international positions with Cargill; in Syria as Risk Manager of a Cargill JV sugar refinery, in Geneva as senior trader on the Cargill worldwide sugar trading team, before returning to Egypt in 2013 to assume the role of Trading Manager – Oilseeds in Cargill Egypt. He then moved with the Soyven JV creation in July 2018 and later assumed the role of MD of the company in Feb 2022.

Yasmine Ghobrial is a Senior Vice President at the Egyptian American Enterprise Fund (EAEF). She manages and oversees EAEF’s portfolio across diverse investment strategies. EAEF is a New York-based private corporation seeded with United States government funds to promote the development of Egypt’s private sector. It invests in private enterprises that contribute to long-term, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth. The enterprise fund deploys capital with the dual mandate to deliver financial returns and promote socioeconomic development in Egypt.
Prior to joining EAEF, Yasmine was a Senior Investor Relations Specialist at Edita Food Industries, one of Egypt’s largest publicly listed snack food companies. Prior to her stint at Edita, she was Head of Business Development at Inktank Communications, a leading investor relations and financial communications agency. Yasmine began her career as an Investment Analyst at FEP Capital. Yasmine holds an MBA degree from Georgetown University and Bachelor’s in Economics and Strategic Management from the German University in Cairo.
Hisham Fahmy is CEO of AmCham Egypt Inc., a mirror organization for AmCham Egypt based in Washington D.C., and advisor to the AmCham Egypt Board of Governors. Prior to January 2016, Fahmy had served as executive director, then CEO of AmCham Egypt since December 1999 and as general manager from 1987 to 1993. Fahmy has helped organize over 30 business missions to Washington D.C. and other states as well as three U.S. missions to Egypt in cooperation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is a familiar face in Washington, offering expertise on strategic bilateral issues and the economic relationship between Egypt and the United States.
For over 20 years, Fahmy has advocated for a friendly business environment for U.S. companies
operating in Egypt and Egyptian companies working with the United States. He also helped create the AmCham MENA Regional Council to promote U.S. business and investment in the MENA region and served as the council’s Regional Coordinating CEO. Under his leadership, AmCham Egypt’s membership reached over 1,900 members and 90 staff.
Fahmy previously served as acting director of the nonprofit think tank The Egyptian Center for
Economic Studies (ECES). He serves on the Egypt-U.S. Business Council (EUSBC), the Advisory Board of the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) School of Business, the Global Board of AMIDEAST, the board of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), and the Board of the Education for Employment Association (EFE). Fahmy is also a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute.
Fahmy has been recognized by U.S. corporations including ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and others for his role in promoting Egypt-U.S. economic relations. The Center for Transatlantic Relations presented him with the “Mediterranean Leadership Award 2016" for his efforts in fostering stronger U.S.-Egypt business and economic relations.
Fahmy graduated from AUC in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Dina Nawar is Chief Operating Officer at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt). She has been serving AmCham for more than 24 years in different capacities. In her current role she oversees and coordinates the activities of AmCham’s 24 sector-focused committees, which spearhead advocacy efforts for a favorable business environment in Egypt and a stronger bilateral relationship with the United States. She is also in charge of designing AmCham Egypt’s annual planner and overseeing the logistics of hosting all major AmCham events, Business Missions to Egypt and Special Missions to the United States. Nawar also She also overseas the operations of AmCham’s Research and Publications teams, as well as the Marketing and Business Development activities.
Serving as Regional Coordinating Officer of the AmCham MENA Council, she is in charge of coordinating joint activities between 10 American Chambers of Commerce in the MENA Region and the Arabian Gulf; members of the Council, helping create linkages between members of the different organizations. Nawar is also in charge of the Secretariat of the Egypt-U.S. Business Council (EUSBC), working with its counterpart at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Egypt Business Council on advancing the bilateral relationship.
Between 2002 and 2003, Nawar served as Projects Coordinator at CID Consulting, a management consulting firm specialized in both the private sector and economic development, where she worked with CID clients on designing and implementing their marketing communications plans.
Nawar holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo. She also holds professional certifications in Strategic Management of Non-Governmental Organizations from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and in Leadership Communication from INSEAD.
