The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt Inc. (AmCham Egypt Inc.) is a Delaware nonstock, nonprofit corporation. AmCham Egypt Inc. is primarily engaged in the following activities:
Promoting the development of commerce and investment between the United States and Egypt.
Acting as a direct liaison with the United States Chamber of Commerce, and other chambers of commerce and business organizations.
Expressing the views of the business community in Egypt to public and private interests in the United States.
Working with individuals and organizations in Egypt and the United States to further bilateral economic ties.

share an identical mission, and are supported by the 2,000 companies and executives who are members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. AmCham Inc. is governed by AmCham Egypt's board of governors.
AmCham Egypt was established pursuant to an exchange of letters dated November 16, 1981, between the governments of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America. Together with AmCham Egypt Inc., AmCham Egypt works to promote the development of commerce and investment between the United States and Egypt.
Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area, AmCham Egypt Inc. is the permanent representative in the United States of both AmCham Egypt's membership and the broader business community.
