Members of the AmCham Egypt Board visited New York, as well as Washington D.C. during the period from September 21st to 27th for a "Mini Doorknock Mission”, organized on the sidelines of the official visit of President El Sisi to the United States, where he participated at the United Nations General Assembly.
Over the course of seven days, delegates took part in over 20 meetings with members of Congress, administration officials, think-tanks, media and leaders from the U.S. business community.
The Mission kicked off in New York, where delegates met with Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations, and Partnerships, World Bank.
On September 22, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AmCham Egypt Inc. hosted the Annual CEO Roundtable in honor of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the New York Palace.
Upon heading to Washington, D.C., delegates attended several meetings with several prominent think-tanks, the Prosper Africa Initiative Interim Coordinator, Matthew D. Rees, as well as with key officials at USAID, the National Security Council, The White House, and the Department of Commerce.
