AmCham Egypt Inc. in conjunction with the U.S. Egypt Business Council hosted a limited roundtable discussion with Ambassador David Thorne, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State .

This meeting came as a follow up to his recent visit to Egypt and his assessments and projections on the Egyptian economy. Ambassador Thorne shared the outcomes of his meetings with Egyptian officials and members of the Cabinet. He was keen on discussing ways to support Egypt’s economic initiatives that encourage expanded U.S. trade and investment.

The meeting was attended by 20 U.S. companies, many of which shared their concern on issues related to foreign exchange and extended questions related to Egypt’s economic reform process.
