AmCham Egypt Hosts a Meeting with Several Congressional Staffers in Egypt




On December 16, 2019, AmCham Egypt hosted a roundtable lunch meeting with seven senior staffers, representing Members of the United States Congress. Select AmCham Members were also present in the meeting, representing the business Community in Egypt.

The delegation comprised the following Congressional Staffers:

  2. Mr. Daniel Adelstein, National Security Advisor, Office of Sen. Mike Rounds (R-South Dakota)
  3. Ms. Amber Bland, Foreign Policy and Education LA,  Office of Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyoming)
  4. Mr. Thomas Mancinelli, National Security Advisor, Office of Sen. Chris Coons (D-Delaware)
  5. Mr. Nick Hawatmeh, Judiciary Counsel, Office of Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana)
  6. Mr. Mena Hanna, Foreign Policy LA, Office of Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebraska)
  7. Mr. Joshua Grant, Staff Assistant, Office of Rep. Joe Wilson (R-South Carolina)

The business community took the opportunity to share the economic progress and the opportunities that exist for bilateral cooperation between the two countries. They also addressed questions by the Congressional Staffers on the mega projects being implemented in Egypt, including the New Administrative Capital, as well as the opportunities for U.S. private sector investments.
