U.S.-Egypt Business Council in Partnership with AmCham Egypt, Inc. host His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi



On September 22, 2019 AmCham Egypt Inc. in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's U.S.-Egypt Business Council, and the Egypt-U.S. Business Council, was honored to host His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for a roundtable dinner at the New York Palace. Organized on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, this dinner brought together 30 leading executives from the Council's member companies with the President and his accompanying delegation to have a substantive discussion about the bilateral economic relationship.

President Sisi expressed his strong support for American companies doing business in Egypt, highlighted its solid growth following a successful economic reform program, and explained how Egypt will continue to reform in the future. The President acknowledged the vital role of U.S. business in sustaining this progress and expressed a strong desire to continue candid dialogue between the U.S. and Egypt with the aim of removing obstacles and encouraging investment. President Sisi recognized the work of the U.S. Chamber and U.S. Egypt-Business Council in facilitating this successful dialogue. The President was joined by H.E.
