On the margins of President Sisi's historic visit to Washington D.C. and as a showcase of the importance of the bilateral economic relationship between Egypt and the United States, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with AmCham Egypt, AmCham Egypt Inc. and the Egypt-U.S. Business Council (EUSBC), hosted President Sisi in Washington on April 3rd for a Special Dinner held in his honor at the U.S. Chamber's headquarters and featuring prominent business leaders and CEOs of U.S. Companies.

During the meeting, President Sisi expressed his appreciation of the role played by the U.S. Chamber in promoting stronger economic and trade relations between Egypt and the United States and his interest in engaging regularly with members of the business community on both sides of the Atlantic to promote commercial ties and share the positive developments taking place in Egypt within the framework of the economic reform measures undertaken by the government. President Sisi also stressed the important role played by the private sector in increasing investments, exchanging information and expertise and boosting trade.

The meeting included an open dialogue with heads of major US companies who expressed interest in expanding their operations in Egypt and in exploring new opportunities for investments.
